debuts on DLSU-D radio

By Aurora Quadra-Balibay on February 5th, 2015 under The Good Balita is expanding its media audience and will now also be heard as a radio show on Philippine airwaves via De La Salle University-Dasmariňas’ university radio station, 95.9 Green FM La Salle Radio. @ 95.9 Green FM is set to launch its weekly newscasts every Monday at 3:45 to 5:00 PM PHL time.

The newest radio show of the DLSU-D radio station will feature news from and fresh stories of positive action, triumphs and inspirational stories gathered by the Green FM student team along with Broadcast Journalism and Communication students of the Communication and Journalism Department of the College of Liberal Arts and Communication.

The launching episode of the radio show will feature interviews with Certified Positive young CEO Beatrice Tesoro who has successfully launched a social enterprise, and inspirational speaker Cornel Bongco who has created a unique leadership series gleaning lessons from Filipino cultural icons such as the yoyo, Vigan Burnay jars and the Filipino adobo, among other icons.


DLSU-D Marketing and Communications Director Rosanni Sarile welcomes the collaboration between the La Salle campus radio and GoodNewsPilipinas saying, “We really do need more good news out there on the media. This collaboration project answers a great need for the Filipino nation to pay more attention to stories of positivism.”

95. 9 Green FM is a National Telecommunications Commission-licensed radio station with a programming mix of newscasts, public affairs talk shows, and music shows.

Now its 10th year as a community radio station, Green FM is set to widen its exploration of media convergence with this collaborative project with along with its new livestreaming and podcasts via its website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube platforms.
