According to the Chief Executive of Powermats, Throsten Heins, “The standard will come packed into any future Samsung smartphones capable of wireless charging.” Samsung introduces a new way of charging that will deviate from the usual wired charging, though this feature is not sure to be featured in their upcoming models.

(11:35 AM) The Philippine Government, in collaboration with the Department of Science and technology is planning to have Department of Information Communications Technology (DITC). DITC aims to answer queries and to attend to different transactions through the online services of the government. The bill will also lead to restructuring of the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) into two separate departments that will be accountable for transportation and information communications technology.

(11:23 AM) A video the SAF execution from the internet has been recently taken down by the National Bureau of Investigation and continues to track down the video uploader as DOJ identified two people as primary sources. In a short time, people has been able to have copies of the said videos, which made it harder for DOJ to trace the source and avoid criminal charges. The first two people to upload the video has been discovered and appeared to be neighbors in Davao, whereas the first one to upload shared it with seven more people, and the second uploader downloaded the video and shared it to make it appear as if he was the primary source. The two neighbors were then invited for questioning.

Sextortion is a modus operandi used to trick netizens to perform sexual acts and blackmail the victims in exchange of money. Sec. Leila De Lima also mentioned how Philippine National Police – Anti-Cybercrime Group and the Department Of Justice – Office of Cybercrime received many complaints against sextortion that it has been alarming.

“Forefront: Innovations in Suicide Prevention” is a cause-oriented program from the University of Washington’s School of Social Work.
Under this new movement, anyone who sees a Facebook post of a certain person which concerns suicide can immediately report it to Facebook by clicking a drop-down link beside the post.

Under Memorandum Circular No. 1, series of 2015, Cacdac said FB accounts will be used for communication platform for deployed domestic workers; dispute prevention; endorsement of complaints; and submission of reports to the POEA.

S-MART (Smart Market Assistance and Product Trading) is a mobile app that will help farmers sell their rice products through the internet. Through this app, the consumers can compare and calculate product prices based from the location of the supplier.
