(11:30 AM) The Information and Communications Technology Center (ICTC) and the Registrar’s Office, held an online enrollment simulation last Thursday to test if the new system of enrollment for the coming semester is effective. According to Dr. Olivia Legaspi, Vice Chancellor for Academics and Research, the online enrollment simulation would be very helpful to identify the technical difficulties commonly encountered in the system.

(11:32 AM) The Luntiang Parangal of DLSU-D wil be held this March 24 at Ugnayang La Salle. The annual event  recognizes student leaders, artist, writers, athletes and different organizations within the university.

(11:26 AM) The Student Wellness Center will hold a general assembly of graduating students this year. The send-off, titled “Seniormania: The Grand Send-off” will be held this coming March 25 at the Ugnayang La Salle from 1 pm to 4 pm.

(11:25 AM) College of Liberal Arts and Communication student council vice president position is still vacant, due to the same number of votes received by Ivan Santos and Jasmine Alinsod.

(11:24 AM) The Marketing Communications Office of DLSU-D has published their special Newsette issue about Pope Francis’ Papal Visit. The copy could be found at the university’s official website http://www.dlsud.edu.ph/. It features reflections and articles both from students and faculty of De La Salle Dasmariñas, including journalists of the Green FM Team.

(11:20 AM) Stricter Tabacco Measures to be implemented due to increased number of Filipinos inhaling secondhand smoke which contains chemicals that affect the lungs. According to experts, about 3,000 Filipinos have died due to lung cancer.

(11:17 AM) Professor Jen. Padernal chosen to be the DLSU-D Ambassador for Microsoft. She has been selected as one of the two Philippine representatives to the Microsoft In Education Global Educator Exchange Program and will travel to Redmond, Washington this coming April 28 to May 1 for an opportunity to meet other global educators.

(11:14 AM) CLAC Tigers, the women basketball team, won the championship game last March 9 held at ULS against the CBAA Achievers. According to the Tiger’s Team Captain, Carmela Jimenez, teamwork and trust is the key to success. The game ended with a 43-40 score.

(11:12 AM) DLSU-D’s Student Commission on Elections announced the winners of the recently held university wide student elections. Micah Riezl Gonzales won the presidency seat for USC. Christine Lei Cabatay won the secretary position, Hanna Apolonio and Kimberly  Sweetzel Agarin as the treasurers, for auditor, Luisa De Gonzaga, for business manager Janine Erica Sonio. and for the PROs, Christian Dave Castro at Cesar Gayo.

(11:10 AM) Teachers from different Universities and Schools unite to appeal for the suspension of the full implementation of the K+12 education program due to lack of preparation by the government. An estimated 80,000 teachers and employees from different Universities will lose their jobs on the first year of the implementation of the senior high school program of K+12.
