  • De La Salle University Debate Team World Champions at 36th World Universities Debating Championship in Greece
  • De La Salle University Debate Society’s team has emerged as world champions at the 36th World Universities Debating Championship in Greece.  DLSU’s Jason Dizon and Mikee De Veg a won the English as a second language category of the largest debating competition and the largest non-sport student gathering in the world.
  • The Team won over 164 other teams from around the world. De Vega also won third best speaker in their category.

  • DepEdSchool Program Voucher Clarification

    The Department of Education (DepEd) has released a memorandum containing clarifications on the senior high school voucher program and partnerships with public and private senior high schools in Cavite.

    DepEd order number 46 clarifies that the pre-qualified voucher recipients are all Grade 10 junior high school completers of both public and private senior high schools recognized by DepEd. The senior high school voucher entitles a student to avail a financial subsidy from the government in their chosen university starting school year 2016 to 2017.

    The voucher application can also be accessed online through the website of the Department of Education.


  • World’s Largest Human AnchorMore than six thousand individuals participated in the formation of the world’s largest human anchor at the University of Antique (UA).

    The record attempt was held as part of the celebration of the university’s 62nd founding anniversary with the theme University Anchored on Q-A.

    The human anchor of the UAEans broke the record with 4,200 participants of the Angkla party-list.

    UA Dean Jelyn Alentajan says the human anchor also symbolizes its new course offerings on marine engineering and marine transportation.
