Proposed law on exact change for customers approved
The bicameral conference committee on the proposed Exact Change bill approved the measure that “makes it unlawful for business establishments to shortchange a consumer, even if such change is only a small amount.”

Capiz Rep. Fredenil Castro, chair of the House of Representatives’ committee on suffrage and electoral reforms warned of a possible chaos on the upcoming 2016 national elections as a result of the Supreme Court’s (SC) order for the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to print vote receipts.
