COMELEC weights options for canvass location

The Commission on Elections is eyeing Manila Hotel as canvassing venue for the May 9 elections.

Comelec Chairman Andres Baustista suggested the area but according to Comelec Comissioner Rowena Guanzon, they are weighing the venue fee compared to Philippine International Convention Center or PICC.

Kim Wong returns P38M to AMLC

Money-laundering suspect Kam Sin Wong returns P38 million to the Anti-Money Laundering Council on Monday.

The retrieved money, which was part of the P81 million share from Bangladesh central bank, will be kept in the care of officials for safekeeping. Later of which will be turned over the Bangladesh officials.

Oil prices rollback expected on Tuesday

Five oil companies announced price rollback to be implemented on April 5, Tuesday.

Among the five participating companies are: Shell Petroleum Corporation, PTT Philippines, Eastern Petroleum Corporation, Sea Oil Philippines, and Phoenix Petroleum Philippines.

URCC teams up with ABS-CBN

Universal Reality Combat Championships (URCC) partners with ABS-CBN tin promotion of the Filipino mixed martial arts.

According to Skycable Chief Operating Officer March Ventosa, the contract aims to boost the URCC and to give the MMA players opportunities in prove their strength to qualify playing overseas.
