De La Salle University-Dasmarinas’ Communication and Journalism Department conducted an event titled #LEGOCJD: lead, explore, gather, and optimize, with the goal of helping the graduating senior high school students decide on the course they will take in college.

“It is important [course track seminar] because we want the Senior High School to lead, explore, gather, and optimize their dreams with CJD”, Broadcast Journalism Program Council President and Project of #LEGOCJD, Elvi Correos said.

The department showcased their program and encouraged aspiring journalists, filmmakers, and advertisers to reach their dreams by inviting graduates from the Communication and Journalism Department to share their experiences in the field and how studying in this institution gave them the edge they need in their workplace.

Invited guests were Senior Production Coordinator of Insider TV, Joni Benedictos, Actor and AB Communication Alumnus, Christian Bables, and Radio Dj, Ms. Cherryl Adami also known as Ricca Herra to whom students were given a chance to ask questions to and have an exchange of ideas.

“Your grades or GPA is not who you are, but I am telling you, don’t let it dictate your work as a student or as a person. Because in the end, hard work, perseverance, and attitude is what matters the most”, Senior Production Coordinator, Joni Benedictos said.

Unfortunately, Cheryl Adami did not make it due to personal matters and so during the afternoon session, DJ’s from 101.1 Yes! The Best visited the event and interacted with the students.

The students from Communicationand Broadcast Journalism also presented their works and shared how studying communication course in DLSU-D helps them in many ways.

The program ended with CJD Chair Sir Artin Umali’s speech, where he explains what the department can offer to the students who are planning to enroll this upcoming school year 2018-2019.
